Optional Benefits

Additional Luggage & Specified Items Cover

You can increase your total luggage cover or get cover for individual items worth more than the item limits shown in the insurance wording. You will need to provide us with original receipts or valuations for these items before you can take out this cover.

You can insure each item up to $3,000, with the total of all items or the total increased luggage cover not exceeding $10,000.

Cost: 4% of the total value in excess of the standard plan limits.

Hire Car Excess Cover

You are automatically covered for hire car excess up to $ 1000 for damage to or theft of a hire car. However you may increase this to $2000.

Cost: $40 per $500.

Excess Buy Out

If your journey is more than 31 days a standard excess for each claim applies to most covers. You can pay to remove this standard excess. You cannot remove any excess we may impose for pre-existing medical cover, or the medical excess for those aged 70 and above.
