Outback Travel Shop was established in Alice Springs Australia in March 1997 by Irma Versluijs, a Dutch backpacker exploring the world. An opportunity arose to start helping travellers to find the best possible travel deals and Irma jumped to the occassion to start the company Outback Travel Shop Pty Ltd.

Over the 14 years following, Outback Travel Shop opened several retail shops around Australia and was, with a strong team of capable Travel Managers, able to successful advise national and international travellers on the best travel deals throughout Australia and New Zealand.

One of the strenghts of Outback Travel Shop has always been to present quality travel for the best possible price, with the highest level of customers service. And to continue this in the best possible way, Outback Travel Shop decided in February 2011 to take the company from retail to online.

The retail shops were sold to reputable companies, and this website was being build by the online tourism experts of Xebidy.

Now working solemly with a website, allows Outback Travel Shop to have less overhead costs and there for greater negotiation power on the prices we can offer our customers.

Our aim is to help many more customers to the best travel deals for the best possible price with the highest standard of customer service, for many years to come.

And to achieve this we do need capable colleagues who understand our mission and feel proud to be part of this successful company.
